This project started off as something completely different than what it ended up as. As I began working on the project, I realized I had some more learning to do before I was ready. That is how this project came to be. It allowed me to focus on working with people, and controlling my lighting. I mostly shot with the sitter in front of the dark background, as I think for the purpose of faces project, it isolates the individual. As I worked on this, I started seeing patterns. These patterns are what eventually turned into the images you see here. Each of these sets of 3 images was matted together in the same mat as Triptychs.
